"Serendipity" is a brand new body of work that merges two of Richard's most popular painting techniques. A natural successor to Richard's famous, "Noir" collections.

"I love depicting strong characters in my work. I feel that they evoke a sense of independence and authenticity. Behind the glamour, there is grit, determination and confidence. Inspirational traits but also admirable. I believe that this is what gets us through life and motivates us to be the best we possibly can".

Believing in the power of shaping one’s destiny, Richard draws inspiration from his own outlook in life; you get what you give. Motivated to channel positivity through his work, Richard looks at many of his pieces of manifestations or vision boards where he endeavours for his artworks to motivate and reaffirm the aspirations of not only himself but also for those who acquire them.

Serendipity refers to the occurrence of events by chance, often leading to unexpected discoveries or fortunate outcomes. Its about finding something valuable or delightful without actively seeking it.

Serendipity is a belief, trusting that you are exactly where you need to be and given a little faith, the right things will find you.

Richard feels there was serendipity, not only behind the narratives in this collection, but also the stumbling upon the style in which he now paints.
